Ok, not exactly Nintendo Wii related, but it is Nintendo. :P

You can read an article right here (http://www.gamerperfection.com/content.php?224-Nintendo-plans-to-release-DS-in-3D) about Nintendo's plans to release a 3D version of it's DS.

Let us know what your thoughts are on this. Do you currently have a Nintendo DS, if so do you think you'd be tempted to upgrade it to a 3D version?

I think it would be awesome if you didn't need to wear 3D Glasses.

I read about this a little while ago and when I found out that you didn't need 3D glasses for the 3D to take effect I was quite intrigued :) sounds like a great addition to the DS, can't wait to see what it is like to play in 3D

I agree Shortie861, I can't quite get my head round it! To look at a flat screen without glasses and have things coming out in 3D??? Like a hologram maybe?

My feeling is that it's going to be more like movie 3D rather than other 3D experiences. For example, you go to a theme park, or even the Superhero 4D event at Madam Tussauds and in those 3D experiences when you are wearing 3D glasses there are things that come right out at you as if you could reach out and grab it.

Whereas with the 3D seen in the cinemas recently such as Clash of the Titans it's not 3D like it is right in front of you. That's what i think it will be like, especially without the need for glasses.
