I think it is just retarded, why hack your PS3? There's no point to it, all that is telling me is that the people that have hacked there PS3 are just too lazy to do anything legit. I'm not impressed at all. If you can hack life, then I'll be impressed.

yeah i agree with these guys, it's way easier to just buy the games, and whats the point in hacking it really?

I agree. I can understand those who genuinely can’t afford games doing it, but if you buy second hand and sell when you’re done it keeps gaming pretty cheap.
Also you run the risk of being banned from the online networks, just like Microsoft did a while back.
Not worth the arse ache.
I would be good if there was an option to develop freeware games using your console though, like the good old days.

Hacking is silly, and more importantly it can ruin the fun of those that play innocently. For example, people discovered a way of creating a "modded lobby" on Black Ops. I had no idea what this was or how you could spot that it was modded until someone told me. I was expecting to be able to spot that it was modded from the actual lobby, but apparently not.
If you are in a modded lobby then when the game starts there are very obvious signs that it's modded.... for example.... you move very fast, you get 1,000,000 points per kill, unlimited ammo etc etc. This got people to Prestige 15 very quickly and got the nice perks at Prestige 15 such as a golden gun. The average user would just think shit, what the hell is going on. They may continue to play it or may quit. But ignorance is likely to make people just carry on even though it's messed up. People have claimed they were in a modded lobby without knowing and after a minute or two of playing the game they quit out of it. Next thing they know they are banned from Black Ops multiplayer. Whether they are honest about playing just for a minute before quitting and realising it's hacked is anyone's guess. But for any really honest and innocent players that got banned because of that, well that just sucks.

i agree gamer doing a public prestige lobby is just wrong and unfair to the every day gamer that has no idea what happening and that they get banned, however it is difficult for tryarch to pick out the people that are telling the truth if they let people get away with saying " i didn't know it was a prestige lobby and left after a min or 2" then everyone would use that excuse...
however i do not mind a modded server which brings in a new game type for example my bro used to run one for MW2 on the pc and would run games like hide n seek, zombie, gun game... he would never use the prestige lobby part of it... but it actually started to make MW2 fun again
