The E3 2010 has brought many new games and technology advances in to the spotlight this year, but this one in particular really caught my eye. I was astounded when I saw this video, it is so scary how advanced technology in the gaming industry is growing.

Forget kids having imaginary friends, they can have "real" virtual friends right on their TV. This video below shows just how life like technology is becoming, and gives a huge glimpse in to what the future of gaming could really look like within the next decade or even sooner.

Microsoft have unveiled their latest piece of equipment for the XBox 360 called the Kinect. And it really does what it says on the tin. This video shows you just how much of a connection someone can have with a virtual character in their own living room. Milo is a virtual character who can recognise a humans voice and understand what we are saying. He can react to words and give off emotions and recognise our own emotions. It truly is an amazing piece of technology.
